## How to do it

1. Attach a handle to the lowest pulley and stand side-on to the stack, feet about shoulder width, knees slightly bent.
2. Hinge slightly to grip the handle with both hands and step away to take up the slack.
3. Sweep the handle diagonally up and across your body with nearly straight arms, turning your torso and pivoting your back foot.
4. Finish with your hands at about shoulder or head height, standing tall.
5. Lower back under control, finish your reps, then turn around to work the other side.

## Key cues

- Side-on to the stack, spine neutral
- Arms almost straight
- Torso turns with the handle
- Pivot on the back foot
- Control the way down

## Common mistakes

- Bending the arms and pulling with them instead of turning
- Moving only the arms while the torso stays square
- Letting the handle drag you back down
- Cutting the finish short of shoulder height

## Muscles worked

- Primary: Obliques
- Secondary: Abs and glutes

## Equipment

Cable machine and d-handle.
