## How to do it

1. Stand on one leg in a shallow squat with the other leg bent and held behind you.
2. Jump sideways as far as you can, off the standing leg.
3. Land on the opposite leg in a squat, with your free leg behind you.
4. Hold the landing, balanced over your foot, then reset.
5. Bound back to the starting side and keep alternating.

## Key cues

- Push off hard sideways
- Land soft, in a squat
- Chest over the knee
- Freeze the landing before the next bound

## Common mistakes

- Not holding the landing before the next jump
- Landing on a straight leg instead of in a squat
- Cutting the bound short of a full lateral jump

## Muscles worked

- Primary: Quads, hamstrings and glutes

## Equipment

None.
