# V Up

> A floor exercise where you lift your torso and straight legs together into a V, training your abs and hip flexors.

## How to do it

1. Lie on your back with your legs straight and together and your arms extended overhead.
2. Lift your feet a few inches off the floor to start.
3. Brace your abs and raise your torso and legs at the same time, keeping your arms in line with your upper body.
4. Reach your hands toward your lower shins at the top, balanced on your seat.
5. Lower slowly, keeping your abs tight, until you are back in the start position.

## Common mistakes

- Rushing the reps
- Rocking back and forth to build momentum
- Relaxing and flopping back down instead of lowering with control
