Handstand Push Up

An upside-down push-up with your back to a wall that builds strength in your shoulders and triceps.

Bodyweight · Front delts, triceps · Push

How to do it

  1. Set a pad on the floor a few inches from a wall, with your hands shoulder width or slightly wider on either side of it. This is an advanced move.
  2. Kick up into a handstand against the wall, heels lightly resting on it.
  3. Brace your core and press your legs together.
  4. Lower your head toward the pad with your elbows angled in, so your head lands nearer the wall than your hands.
  5. Press back up until your arms are straight.
