Straight Arm Pulldown (Cable)

The cable straight-arm pulldown is a standing lat isolation that trains your lats by sweeping a bar down to your thighs.

How to do it

  1. Stand facing a high pulley with your feet shoulder width apart and your knees soft.
  2. Hold the bar with an overhand grip about shoulder width and hinge forward slightly at the hips.
  3. Start with your arms reaching up toward the pulley and your lats stretched.
  4. Sweep the bar down in an arc to your thighs with straight arms.
  5. Return slowly to the stretch.
